Delete, Delete, Delete

Now, how many times have you forgotten to save your files or even worse just delete things you needed, for example your own blog ?

Yes, I know, it’s only human to make mistakes as we are definitely not perfect. Did you actually believe this could happen to you only? All mighty Google made the same mistake, reassuring that even the best can do stupid things.

According to Google’s official blog Web site, the service was unavailable for a short period of time. Most of us might think that it was something related to a security flaw and that attackers might have found a weak spot. Taking into consideration Google’s official post, the problem occurred due to a mistake as Google discovered that it deleted its own Blogger.

The blog was mistakenly deleted by the Google people which allowed for the blog address to be temporarily claimed by another user. Therefore Google assures it was not a hack, it was just a stupid mistake. Luckily for them, the blog has been restored.

Google’s gesture of admitting its mistake is appreciated among bloggers who would also like to know how did the giant’s people manage to get the data back.
